Crispy chicken wings & Perl Lâs blue cheese dip recipe

When I'm in the mood to settle into the sofa for a Netflix binge, there's nothing better than having a mountain of crispy, juicy chicken wings in front of me as well. I love smashing these with a bowl of dip and my favourite hot sauce... Netflix and CHILLI, BABY!


Ingredients


  • Chicken wings

  • Olive oil

  • Cayenne powder

  • Sea salt

  • Smoked paprika

  • Garlic powder

  • Baking powder

  • Perl Lâs blue cheese

  • Soured cream

  • Your favourite hot sauce


Method


  • Preheat oven to 170°C

  • Pat the chicken wings dry with kitchen paper

  • In a bowl give the wings a splash of olive oil, then season with cayenne powder (I like 'em spicy!), salt, smoked paprika and garlic powder/granules. Use any spices you like!

  • The secret ingredient: sprinkle a teaspoon of baking powder and massage each wing with some love to ensure even covering for maximum crispiness!!!

  • Arrange on a wire rack in a tray, and into the oven they go. I like my wings mega crispy and super fall-off-the-bone, so I cook them for 1.5-2hrs. TOTALLY WORTH THE WAIT!!

  • The dip: crumble Perl Lâs cheese or your favourite blue cheese into a bowl of soured cream, season to taste - EASY!! Keep covered in the fridge

  • Serve the crispy wings with a bottle of your favourite hot sauce, Perl Lâs dip, and go to your happy place...

Dull

  • Cynheswch eich popty i 170°C

  • Sychwch yr adenydd efo papur cegin

  • Rhowch yr adenydd mewn powlen ac ychwanegwch joch da o olew olewydd, yna digon o halen, powdr garlleg a powdr cayenne (dwi'n licoi'n spicy felly dwi'n rhoi lot!)

  • Rwan am y 'secret ingridient' i gael yr adenydd na'n 'mega crispi' - powdwr pobi! Rhowch lwy de dda o bowdr pobi dros y cyfan a rhowch 'massage' da i bob adain

  • Rhowch yr adenydd ar rack mewn tun pobi a mae nhw'n barod i fynd i'r popty. Dwi'n licio cwcio nhw am 1.5 i 2 awr fel bod y cig yn disgyn oddi ar yr asgwrn a'r croen yn crispi-crispi

  • Y dip: Ma hwn mor syml ond yn anhygoel. Jyst crymblwch eich hoff gaws glas mewn bowlen o hufen sur a cymysgwch.  Nesh i ddefnyddio'r caws Cymreig 'Perl Lâs', hawdd ia!

  • Dwi'n gweini'r wings efo'r dip caws glas a potal o'n hoff 'hot sôs' o'r ffrij - y partner perffaith i chillio ar y sofa a gwatchad box set, lyfli!
